Nice Brake Kit

I splurged on this brake kit last summer because FCP had a good sale. I had a good summer job and brakes were somewhere down the line on my mod list and the deal sounded enticing. I bought them mainly for the aesthetic appeal of holed rotors but also wanting to get quality stuff (not cheap ebay drilled rotors) and hoping that performance would improve as well. My original brakes still had some life left in them when I replaced them with this kit, so there wasn't a huge initial difference. I bedded the new pads and rotors together correctly, but braking felt about the same. I did take my car to the track with the new brakes on, it was my first time on the track so I had nothing to compare against, so I had no clue if they were better or not than my old brakes. The only evidence I have of improved braking performance is that I ran seven 20 minute sessions and my braking never let up. They never overheated or lost braking power due to glazing. While 2 of my fellow e46 friends said that they had to start taking it easy because of lost braking power, and they only stayed for 5 sessions. After my track day the brakes felt pedal now traveled a lot farther down before much braking occured. I changed my brake fluid but that didn't fully correct the issue. I'll attribute the reason to eaten brake pads, I really doubt if it has anything to do with the SS lines but I suppose thats a possibility. I gave them a 4 star rating because they are a nice brake kit that look good and give some additional braking power, but they are nothing jaw droppingly amazing. They aren't a BBK that look sexy and stop on a dime. I have read though that the Zimmerman rotors are not actually holes drilled into a blank rotor (like most cross drilled rotors you see), but that they are actually cast with the holes in them (this is better for structural purposes).
