Saab is an internationally recognized brand out of Scandinavia, from a strong culture of innovation and production. They brought forward thinking solutions and to their newly sought after vehicles, all with a passion for their environment. Saab vehicle parts provide all of the Saab vehicle lines with original parts, embodying the same traditions for advanced engineering and design. The company has more than 50 years of experience long-standing auto experience in all of their products and, even in their gasket and seal parts and components. Your Saab’s head gasket separates the cylinder head and the engine block. It manages your vehicle’s motor oil and coolant from getting together while the two fluids transition through your cylinder head and engine block. You Saab’s head gasket also controls your internal combustion. There are some warning signs to take notice of is your head gasket becomes faulty, such as installation issues, faulty or harmed bolts, or weak gasket design. If this is the case, the first thing to do in replacing your Saab’s head gasket is to drain the cooling system out. This stops your pistons and crankcase from filling up with coolant. Unplug the plug below the air conditioner compressor or in the back of the power steering pump. This will empty your coolant out. Your coolant will drain quicker once you push it with screwdriver in the container to take off corrosion buildup. Use a 1 1/16 socket to take off the chain tensioner and then remove the 14-mm sprocket bolts. Drop the chain under the cylinder head area. Next, remove your Saab’s air conditioner compressor on the radiator, exhaust, intake manifold, and fuel rail, with the attached injectors. Remove the two bolts on your Saab’s timing chain cover below the head and then remove the rest of the bolts on your head gasket. Situate your Saab’s camshaft bearing caps in the specific position that Saab manufacturer recommends in their owner’s manual and then remove the ignition distributor. Keep the springs and valves in position and use 80-grit sandpaper on the engine block and wash it with some solvent. Install your new head gasket and bolt it to the radiator. Put sealant on the block's timing cover and the end plate. Replace your camshafts and balance them so the cap bolts allow your oil to flow to the hydraulic lifters. Also, replace the bolts for the timing-cover-to-cylinder head bolts, camshaft sprockets, and timing chain. Remove the middle bolt on your Saab’s chain tensioner and put on the spring-loaded bolt and push in the pressure lever. Situate the chain tensioner and put the spring assembly into your tensioner.
